March 15, 2023 – Turf Up Masco presented an update to the Masconomet School Committee. During and after the presentation, we added detail and engaged in very productive dialog with respect to donors, sponsorships, student needs and are communications plan. Our action plan coming out of that meeting is
- Reinforce our “Who?” – continue to seek out committee members with specific and general expertise (see our current list of Committee Members)
- Present to all three Tri-Town Select Boards & Fin Coms
- Reinforce our “Why?” as there still seems to be a need to educate people WHY we need Turf at Masconoment (see updated Our “Why?” page on website)
- Build our list of Community Voices – past and present students, athletes, coaches and parents who have testimonials to share about the need for Turf fields
- Reinforce our “How?” – clearly communicate our fundraising strategy and continue work on connecting with donors (donation strategy coming soon to the website)
- Solidify our treasury – which donations will go to an earmarked fund at the school and which will be handled via a 501(c)(3)
