Stantec provided Masconomet Regional School District with a feasibility study for the high school campus. They provided a deliverable of what is possible at Masconomet in Phases, which really equate to options for the school grounds.
From this study, Masconomet Regional School Committee decided to pursue Phase 1 of the plan: two synthetic turf playing fields and related amenities.
The Design, Engineering & Permitting piece of this project is underway with representatives from MRSD, the School Committee and Turf Up Masco. The most recent version of the plans was presented to the Masconomet Regional School Committee on January 31, 2024.

Stantec’s final recommendations will include vendors and manufacturers that use materials that are free of PFAS and infill consisting of natural infill materials.
NEW MULTI-PURPOSE STADIUM FIELD, RESURFACED MULTI-PURPOSE FIELD & RELATED AMMENITIES
Phase 1 of the turf field initiative adds a stadium field to the opposite side of the campus, adjacent to the student parking lot and includes resurfacing of the existing multi-purpose field.
These new fields will service soccer, field hockey, football, and lacrosse plus some baseball and softball activities. Fields will be available for youth programs, in-season rentals and summer camps.

- Bleacher seating for 900 spectators at stadium field
- ADA accessible elevated press box

- Tier seating for field 2 (112 seats)
- New support building that includes restrooms, trainer room, concessions, storage
- Revised parking layout
- Improved pedestrian circulation from the parking to and around the athletic fields
- LED athletic lighting at both fields
- Tree and shrub plantings
