NEW MULTI-PURPOSE STADIUM FIELD, RESURFACED MULTI-PURPOSE FIELD & RELATED AMENITIES
A plan is under development for a new stadium complex on the southwest side of campus at the Masconomet Regional School District High School. This includes a multi-purpose artificial turf field, lights, scoreboards, seating, press box, auxiliary building with bathroom/concessions, and a second multi-purpose artificial turf field in place of an existing grass field.
The project is estimated at $8M for completion of athletic complex.
We are looking to build a sports complex that will not only serve the needs of our athletes, but will also build a legacy for our community. We are just getting started.

OVERUSED & OUTDATED FIELDS ARE INADEQUATE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY
The limited number of grass fields, as they are today, cannot meet the demands of Masconomet High School athletic teams. Fields require constant, on-going maintenance even in the most optimistic climate conditions. With high volume of activity on the fields, there is little down time for fields to rest and recover. During seasons of drought or excessive rain, fields become unsafe and unusable. Each year, teams must find alternate locations to play.
Current fields and facilities prevent Masconomet from hosting MIAA playoff games.
Accommodating High School sports leaves little availability for youth or town organizations to take advantage of this shared resource of the Tri-towns.
A maintenance upgrade isn’t enough. Masconomet needs new, and more, resources.
THE TIME IS NOW
While the wheels have been in motion for many years, the timing of this initiative right now is better than ever. We have the momentum of unanimous approval of all three towns to start this work (town warrants were used to fund the Design, Engineering & Permitting piece of this project). We also have the advantage of utilizing newer, safer, better designed turf products that will serve our community as well as our environment.
Having engaged a global design firm, survey and geotechnical investigations are complete and the design process is nearing final stages as they develop “design to build” documents. Permitting will commence winter 2023/24.
We cannot go to bid to build until funds are appropriated. We need the funds, so the time is now.

Our high school and its students is the most valuable asset the Tri-town collectively shares.
ALL OF US
If we can collectively raise the funds for this project, it will equate to a value-add for all residents of the Tri-town. The dollars invested in our schools will raise the value of all our community and individual assets.
Corporate donations offer an opportunity benefit the community and extend goodwill while increasing brand recognition through sponsorship opportunities. Individual, family and foundation donations will also have a place in naming opportunities – in honor or in memorial – as a way to form a lasting impression and relationship with the Tri-town community.
This project will provide prominent opportunities for a number of highly visible features ranging from $20,000 – $2,000,000, including naming the Complex, Stadium, Field, Press Box, Concessions, Seating Walls, Band and Student sections, structures, placards, and benches.
Turf Up Masco will be defining ways that local businesses can get involved and collaborate on a smaller, annual basis as a way to both raise funds for Masconomet Sports Foundation and generate awareness via smaller scale advertisement.
Community members will also help underwrite the cost of this project through numerous, on-going smaller donation opportunities such as engraved brick pavers and fundraising events.
Finally, we will be seeking out all available grant options.
